The teacher who taught me the most. Did everything possible to help you learn including recording his classes and making the class available to be copied for future studying. By far my best professor. Just finding out about his young death, now. Rest in Peace. Mr. Kavanaugh. THANK YOU.

We just learned today of Jim's passing. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy. Our families were neighbors on Bell Street and our girls attended St. Barnabas together. Although we lost touch with one another, that is a time in our life and our children's life that is not forgotten. Our prayers are with your entire family.

Saturday I learned of the untimely death of "Jimmy K". I am truly saddened. I served under Jimmy's supervision in the Cook County State's Attorneys Office for 6 years. Jim was a brilliant lawyer but more than that he was a friend. We both graduated from Leo High School. In the early 50's I played basketball at Leo with Jim's brother.I go back a long way with the Kavanaughs. In 1982 Jim did me a great kindness that I shall never forget. I send my deepest condolences to Maureen and the rest of Jim's family. I have lost an old friend.

To the famly of my career friend and law school classmate, Jim Kavanaugh: Please accept my sincere sympathy on the passing of Jim. He was truly one-of-a-kind; a dear person who made a lifelong and positive impression on me because of his great charisma and compassion. He and his family are in my prayers.
