James Kaphusman Obituary

Kaphusman, James E. 67, loving husband and best friend for 47 years of Dominica Ann, beloved father of James (Maureen), John (Tracy) and the late Jeffrey, proud grandfather and papa to James, Andrew, Johnny, and Jason, dear brother of Phyllis (John) Rosan, and the late Celine and Jerry McCourt, fond brother-in-law to Mary Ann and Ronald Snell and Beverly and the late Dr. Paul M. Tullio, dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. James was a retired employee of the General Services Administration and a Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus, during his lifetime he was involved in many community and service organizations including the Boys Scouts of America and helped start a neighborhood crime watch Program in Chicago. He was also actively involved as a Lay Person in the Catholic Church for many years as a Eucharistic Minister and a Teacher of Religious Education. He touched the lives of many and will be missed by all. Funeral Saturday, 9:30 from Modell Funeral Home, 7710 S. Cass Ave., Darien, to Our Lady of Peace Church, Mass 10 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Visitation Friday, 3 to 9 p.m. 630-852-3595. Visit Guest Book at www.suntimes.com
