James "Jim" Fahey, Ret CPD, US Marine Veteran; beloved husband of the late Margaret "Marge" nee McGrath' cherished father of Breanne (Joe) Nikkel and Eileen; loving grandpa of Callum and Mairead Nikkel; dear brother of Patsy Foley; fond brother-in-law of Maureen (Gil) Sanks and the late Tom Ret. CPD (Colette) McGrath and Joanne (Chuck Ret. CPD) Jones; special cousin of the late Cathy (the late Joe) Suchan and Daniel (the late Kathie) McGrath; uncle of many; He was warm and kindhearted and everyone's favorite guy. Visitation Wednesday 3-8 PM at Gibbons Family Funeral Home 5917 W. Irving Park Rd (1/2 Block East of Austin) and Thursday 10 AM until Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM at St. Pascal Church (Melvina & Irving Park). Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Breanne and Eileen, I'm so sorry for this loss. I remember your parents dancing at my wedding and seeing them many times through family gatherings. They were such wonderful people with positive impact on so many. My mother, Joan Curtin Alessio, was so fond of her cousins and their spouses. I will donate to Misericordia. That's a lovely idea that you've set up. Thinking of you both, and your family.

There was not a night that went bye without him mentioning both of you.

Condolences to the family on the passing of Jim. I will always remember him as an even tempered, personable, kind and intelligent co worker. He was always a pleasure to be around. You could always count on him in any situation. My deepest sympathies on his passing. I lost a good friend too. May he rest in eternal peace.

Yet another post for the loss of a good man. Brother Jim, thank you for your service as a US Marine and your camarderie during our years together in 018. When I look back, it's friends like you that I pray for daily for all my great experiences. Now, may our great God invite you into His open arms for your ultimate, "Welcome Home."
