I knew Jim at St. Bernard's in Wauwatosa, Class of 1958. We looked for him a few years ago when we had a reunion of that class, but couldn't find him. I am sorry to hear that he has left this earth. God bless all of you who loved him. I will pass along the new to the rest of the St. Bernard's gang. I'm in Austin, TX and you can find me on Facebook if you want to contact any of us. God bless the Erskine family.

My condolences to the Erskine Family. I knew Jim over 35 years ago as the Executive Director of the Transitional Living Program (today the Teen Living Program). Jim was one of the original members of this child welfare agency's Board of Directors. At that time the agency provided single parent foster homes to teenage wards of the state to prepare them to go out and live independently on their own. Jim was a Board member for many years and gave freely of his time and support. I often sought Jim out for his advice and counsel. Everybody liked Jim and appreciated his efforts in support of the agency. I looked upon him as a big brother and appreciated his sage counsel. I both mourn his passing and celebrate his life!

My condolences to the Erskine Family.
Jim was a great guy/teacher/mentor.
I will always be grateful.
When I started at Erskine & Meyering Jim
told me if he didn't find any errors in my
work I was going to slow, he should find some, but not too many. When I asked him what was too many, he leaned back in his chair, rubbed his chin and looked at me and said, "Don't worry I'll let you know."
