I have known Jim for decades. I love Jim, even today. I am unable to think of nothing but the good times that I was privileged to share. The last time I saw Jim we hugged at a Metro station in Chicago, and told each other that we loved each other. I now live in Houston, and I am very sorry, only today, to have learned of Jim´s passing. Jim will always live in my mind!! As George Harrison said "Living within me, and without me". Jim truly walks with Jesus!!!!! Dave Wilcut. wdw55_2005@yahoo. Com

Even though I marked friend he was like family. My three children called him Uncle Jim ever since they were very young. He was my ex-husband's best friend Ron Gileck. I remember when Jim would come over to our apartment and then to our house when we moved to a couple places in Redmond Oregon he would sit on the floor and play with the kids or feel comfortable just laying on our couch. I remember when we moved to Florida and then to Portland Jim came to visit us in both places. He never judged people but always accepted everyone just as they were. I truly miss him and I am confident I will see him again.

Still think about you all the time Jim and am looking forward to that day, when we shall be face to face again.

I still remember Jim almost every day and am delighted knowing he's with Jesus just waiting for us to get there too.
For Jim, the half can be fancied on that side the Golden Shore. Jim loved the old hymns and now he's living them. How cool is that?
One of the finest people I ever met and knew, I have yet to meet another person as unique and real as Jim English.

Jim was my best friend. I met him in Redmond, OR and we developed a lasting bond that could never have been broken. To the kids, he was Uncle Jim.

I met Jim when he painted my home in 2002 . He was a very very special man with a great sense of humor, intelligence, a sharp wit and a heart full of true goodness. Our children were immediately endeared to him as were we all.For the couple of weeks that he graced our home it was filled with laughter, love and lots of beautiful color.
We kept in contact via phone and Jim visited when he was working in the neighborhood.I will be forever honored for meeting him and now every day I cherish the beautiful paintings that he did for us.He was truly a unique individual.. I really believe he was an angel that walked among us , spreading love and decency and acceptance wherever he went. The world was a better place when Jim was here and I am sure he will not forgo his work on his new journey .
You will be truly missed.
Martina , jerry, Caitlin, JJ and especially Annie who give Jim her winnie the pooh sculpture that she painted as Jim fell in love with it while painting our home.
