Dear Diana,
I just found out about Jim's death Thursday when I called his office. I'd recently seen something on the 1967 American League pennant race. That started me thinking about the White Sox (who almost won it that year) and that made me think of Jim. I called to catch up and chat. I so wish I'd had the thought a few months earlier.
I can't tell you how sorry I was to hear about him. He was a great guy.

Dear Diane and Family,
I was saddened when I talked to Karen and she told me about Jim's death. He was constantly in my prayers. He was the best lawyer I have had. He wasn't the typical lawyer you hear bad things about. He was honest and cared about his clients. My prayers are with you and your loved ones. I plan to contribute to the James Duda Cancer Fund.
With sympathy,
Evelyn Sorrell

Dear Diana,
I was so sorry to hear about Jim's death. He was a nice person and you and he always looked so happy together and worked so well together -- true partners, whether backstage at Summerfest or on the dance floor.
My condolences to you and Jenny and Todd.

Dear Diana,
I just read of Jim's passing yesterday and am so saddened.I had spoken to Jim several months ago at the health club and we caught up on family news and he was in such good spirits. My heart and prayers go out to you and your family.I often think of the fun times we had in tap class.I still miss the fun we had together and have taken an adult tap class or two and they can't compare to the classes you taught.(they were the best and Jim and you made me giggle like a teenager)May God help you through this difficult time and hold onto those wonderful memories that you were blessed with.
With Love,

Dear Diana,
We grieve with you. Jim and I were cousins. He was 7 years younger. Although we lost touch over the years I remember him as being a nice cousin and I am proud of him and the life he led. He was indeed a fine and generous person

Dear Diana,
Though I only met you and Jim a couple of times, I so enjoyed that time together. Through Kathy and Rich, we were always aware of how hard Jim fought to stay with you for as long as he could. I am so sorry for your loss and for the loss to his many friends!

Dear Diana, Jenny and Todd:
We are so sorry for your loss. We all feel a deep loss for this kind man. No matter how much we think we are prepared for death, no one can fill the horrible emptiness, but we will pray that this emptiness will soon be filled with happy memories, all the love that was shared and the memories yet to be made. God bless you all.
