Still thinking about you DiDi. The Guides just came in and bought a car and it just made me think of when you used to call me and ask me how many miles should be on your car because you wanted to trade it in. Definately miss having you around. God Bless You!

To Didi's family, I am very sorry for your loss. I first met Didi in grammar school when he coached me while I wrestled on the 1983-1984 State Wrestling Champions Vittum Cats. I will never forget the jacket he gave me with the nickname on it, "Lateral Rapp." A name that has stuck with me from the guys I still see from the team back then. I have the fondest memories of Didi and many pictures of him while I was a Vittum Cat. I'll never forget taking the trips to Ohio and Iowa with him so the kids can wrestle and for the dad's to have a great time. Didi followed my wrestling career in high school and would make me a special t-shirt every year with a "saying" on it to keep me motivated. I always wore those shirts to my wrestling matches because it was from Didi. Didi was always a very generous man with a huge heart and certainly made a positive impact on my life. I just heard of the news today and am deeply saddened by it. If I could ever become half the man Didi was, I'm sure there will be a spot for me in heaven with him. Did was special and I am so glad that he was a part of my life.

I was so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I have known him for years, first a coach and recently as a umpire. He was truly a special man.

To the entire Family and Friends of the Rocker Organization - Our thoughts and prayers go out to you. Mr. Didi was truly a gifted man and will be missed by more than some could imagine - He not only made his players push themselves to be better, he has made the coaches that have known him or played against him work to be better coaches and mentors for the young woman in the sport of softball and for that I would like to thank him.
He will always be remembered!

Dear Kathy & family, I was very sorry to hear of this news. I also worked for Didi at Chicago Shirt - in the art dept, back in the late 80's. I did not personally know the coach side of him. But I do remember his zest for life and how very excited he would get at work about upcoming wresteling matches and events. I can still hear him screaming out "Hey Coach!" And I always remember the many friends he had who would always be stopping by. You were truly blessed as were many people who's lives he also deeply touched. Keeping you in prayers.

Dearest DiDi,
You have meant more to me then I could even imagine. Your smile, your warmth, your determination, and your belief. As you are laid to rest today, you will always be with us. You took me in and made me the player as well as the person I am today. I will never forget you and keep teaching young woman the game you taught me.
To the DiGregorio family,
I can not imagine what you are going through, but know that your father and husband have changed so many people's lives. This is something that no one person can, but your father/husband did. He changed life, and we are all better people for it. You have my deepest sympathy.

Mr D was a true believer in the talent in each one of us. I've witnessed the tremendous love and passion he had for his family and it was amazing to see how he carried it into each friend he had and each athelete he coached. I'm truly greatful for him being an amazing dad to some of the best friends I ever had.
Mr. D you will truly be missed; thank you for all the memories and all the wonderful dinners! Thank you for constantly giving and having an amazing sense of humor when I asked you all those crazy questions!
Continue to do what you always do best by watching over Mrs. D, Amy, Krissy, Jenny, and Joey and each one of us. May he Rest in Peace.

Dear Kathy and family:
My prayers are with you during this difficult time. I worked for DiDi back in the early 80's at Chicago Shirt & Lettering and I can remember how excited he was to work with all the kids back then. Sounds to me like he has done wonderful things for many many people and has made a positive impact in so many lives. Stay strong during this sorrowful time and know he is continuing to shine down from above.

Kathy and Family,
It has been many years since we have spoken but my memories of you and DiDi are as vivid as if they had recently happened. I remember staying in your home back in 1979/80 and DiDi making me those "special shakes" trying to get ready for upcoming matches. I remember being picked up from boarding school everynight for practice during wrestling season. How many coaches go out of their way to do that? I remember watching the "Idol Maker" with you Kathy...I'm still looking for that movie. I remember when I was in the fourth grade trying out for the football team and crying one day after practice, thinking I wasn't good enough to be on the team. DiDi took me aside, put his arm on my shoulder and took the time to encourage me and make sure I stuck it out and played on the team. I was a member of his team(s) from then until I graduated eighth grade in 1980.That was a long time ago and I have never forgot my coach DiDi. No coach/mentor has ever given me the direction and discipline I needed to succeed in ANY endeavor or had the genuine interest in me and my success as he did. DiDi... you have impacted my life more than you may have ever known and your lessons are the ones I teach my children. I miss you already but I know you are coaching the cherubs in heaven... making sure they don't crawl on the mat.
Love and respect,
Anthony Paez (team member 1976-80)

I am so saddened to hear about the passing of Jim Digregorio. He was my coach on the Rockers many years ago and he is now coaching the angels above alongside my father, Bill Ligacki, who passed this past February. You are all in my prayers at this difficult and sad time.

The Torres Family would like to tell you what DiDi meant to our family. We are talking 30 years of wrestling, overnights downstate, more t-shirts, jackets, and sweats than you can imagine. There were the weddings, baptisms, graduations, and birthday parties. When he greeted me with "Hey Coach", or the countless number of cars he bought from me. The trips he would take with Cherico and my Dad, or the stories my Dad would tell of his snoring. The way he could make my Mom laugh.I am sure every one he met can probably tell stories like this, because he made an impact on anyones life he came in contact with. So to everyone he was "coach" DiDi, but the Torres Family is grateful to have known him as "Friend" DiDi. Thanks for showing us what its like to be in the prsence of a true Gentleman for so many years.

Didi, Just wanted to thank you for being so good to my daughter. She truly loved you.
I also want to thank you for the wonderful friendship between you and my husband. The two of you on the phone and giggling like a couple of girls over that crazy message board. Who had more fun with that then you two guys? You will be greatly missed.

Coach,
I don't know where to begin. First of all, thank you for all you have done for me and my family. You were like a father to me and you taught me much. You were always there for me especially when I lost my Dad. You believed in me and helped me to mature and get tough!
I will always remember your famous "Hey Budddy" greeting and the smile you would bring with that.
Life doesn't make sense, it seems like we are always losing the best people. As a result of your huge heart and generousity, you have impacted the lives of so many people in a positive way. God Bless your family and look down on all of us as we continue to carry on your legacy.
P.S.
I can only imagine the t-shirt you and my Dad are trying to sell GOD!
