James Callihan Obituary

Callihan, James Larry

Callihan, James Larry 1947-2022, age 75, beloved husband to Joan (Rowe) Callihan for 55 years. Loving father to Scott (Paula) and Kevin (Sharon) Callihan. He was a devoted grandfather to granddaughter Harley and grandson Dylan Callihan. He adored all his step-grandchildren.

He was born 2-23-47 in McCaysville, Georgia to James Mark Callihan and Mary Lou Daniels. He was raised by his loving stepfather Earl Daniels. Larry was the fond brother of Judith (Carl) Paris and the late John (Eugenia) Daniels and Ginger Callihan Newell. He will be missed by his brothers-in-law Gary (Connie) and the late James (Lori) Rowe and his sisters-in-law Carol Foley and Joyce (the late Rick) Edwards, his nephew James Rowe, and his niece Amanda Salgado.

Larry was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and White Sox. He loved to fish with our sons and grandchildren.

His wishes were to be cremated and have an Irish "Celebration of Life Party" to be planned later. He is now in God's hands as of Nov. 16, 2022.

My Uncle Larry will be greatly missed. He was such a wonderful family man, I will never forget all the back yard BBQs and Christmas's we all had together. Walking thru that back door to his smiling face and a hug waiting, so many amazing memories. He is now at peace with his Mom, Dad and Brother (Johnny).
