James Buckner Obituary
He was born October 14, 1931 to Donie Blunt Buckner and Edith Shirley in Red Rock, Tx.
Buck was employed by Reddy Ice for many years and loved to rodeo. Buck was a member of the Woodcliff Baptist Church and a present member of the Adina Christian Church where he was a deacon. He loved his family and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Verna Mae Buckner; his children, Jacklyn Hall and husband Bill, Jamie Allen and husband Stan, Allen Buckner, Charles Schindler and wife Sharon, Theresa Oliver and husband Michael, William Shindler and wife Rhonda, nine grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; brothers, Bill Douglas Buckner and wife Dorothy and Fred Buckner and wife Susan; and sister, Wanda Johnson.
He was preceded in death by brother, Shirley Buckner.
A Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 15, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Providence-Jones Family Funeral Home. Celebration of Life Services will be 2 PM, Thursday, August 16, 2012 Adina Christian Church. Interment will follow at Adina Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Adina Christian Church.
