Dear Angie and Family:

I was looking for another obit and happened upon Jim's. I cannot express how surprised I am. I have always been very fond of you and Jim. He was always so kind to everyone. He was a great church leader -- and his faith and his love of God and his family always

came first in everything he did.

May you be at peace knowing that he is with Jesus. And may Jesus be especially close to you at this time.

My prayers are with you.

When I was a fairly new school superintendent Jim helped me out with a few projects. In addition he was very candid in sharing some thoughts on what the job entailed. Jim's wife also sent my wife and I some valuable information for our first trip to Arizona. Truly Jim was a good man and his family has our sympathy. Bill Small

Dear Wonderful Family,

Today we take Jim to his final resting place. God gave him a beautiful loving family and a good life.

He is out of his pain and Jim is on his journey home to his final resting place. The gates are opened to Jim and he will be in great company of those who have passed before him.

There is a season for everything and with the onset of Spring, Jim will see our Christ who died for our sins.

Fifty years for Angie and Jim being together on God's earth is a blessing itself. Rejoice in the Lord.

Love and prayers to all of you.

Dear Bokenkamp family --

Joy to you in the name of our resurrected Lord! I had the pleasure of serving with Jim on the NID Board of Directors -- what a foreward thinking supporter of the work of our Lord in Illinois. When all look back on Jim's life, we can see that God was good to Him and good through him. But more. This same Lord is good today -- and will be good forever. Jim sleeps in the arms of a loving Savior. For us until we meet again at Jesus' feet? This is the time to be bold in our faith and hope -- to continue to be the Easter people Jim always was. Blessings to you as you seek God's comfort and grace in these days of grief and quiet joy. He is risen, He is risen indeed!

Dear Bokenkamp Family;

So sorry to hear about Jim passing away. I worked with him for so many years in the Administration Office and what a very nice boss he was.

Karl - I believe one of my sons (Ron or Bud Villalobos) was in the same class at Dulles and if I remembered correctly you played basketball a very very long time ago with them.

I know whenever I met your Dad he was so proud of you all always mentioning what you were doing in your lives. I know he will be missed by all. Once again, I am very sorry on hearing of Jim's passing away.

Dear Karl and Family,

Please accept my sympathy on the death of your father. I remember him as a wonderful leader and hope your family will be strong for your mom. Karl, I had you in class at John Foster Dulles Elementary School in 1968-69. It was my first assignment after graduating from Chicago Teachers College. I have wonderful memories of you and that class. I am sure you are successful today. After leaving Dulles, I got married and moved to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, where I still reside with my wife Barbara of 36 years. We have three married daughters and four grandkids. I was an elementary principal for twenty years, and since 1994 have owned a radio station, WLKG-FM 96.1, in Lake Geneva. I would love to hear from you either by email or phone -- my email is [email protected] and work number is 262-249-9600. Again, my deepest sympathies. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Sincerely,

Tom Kwiatkowski

Jim was my first Principal at Tobin School in 1964. He was a mentor to me, sharing ideas and very sound advice. I taught in District 111 for eleven years and was elated when he became Superintendent. I respected Jim and was happy to have him as a boss and also as my friend. Please accept my sympathy. You were very fortunate to have him as a husband and father.
