To All in the Jim Bobek Family.
Have known Jim since 1949 when we started out as freshmen at Gage Park High School.
Jim and I were in same Division, a number of our classes, had lunch together every day, met each morning before classes with a number of other buddies, we shared our school locker for four years and had experienced many other happenings during those four years. Jim was just a terrific guy.
All of you in the Bobek family having Jim with you for those many, many years, you were blessed by his presence.
Our prayers are offered for Jim.

To the Bobek Family,
No words can express how sad we are at your loss. Hoping fond memories of Jim will give you comfort. As fellow enlisted members of the 308th serving with him we will always remember what a great guy he was and that he was always willing to give his best in all of his endeavors. He was our friend and will be missed.

Terri, Jim and Carla: It is with profound sadness that I hear the news of your Dad's passing. I have known your Dad since 1957 or '58. He was a tall, young guy from "Back o' the Yards." I remember one day he had a footrace with Frank Wallace. (They raced barefoot or in their stocking feet.) It was a close finish and I don't remember who won. Frank was probably the fastest guy in South Chicago but your Dad had the guts to take him on. I was always proud of that. Big Jim was always good to me. Tio Guillermo
