To the Knapp family
I was very saddened to hear of your loss. I had known Jackie for many years as I was one of the vendors who had business with Chicagoland Motel and Jackie. While working for RCA, I serviced the TV's, alarm system and telephone system. It was a pleasure working with Jackie as she was fair, understanding and a delight to deal with on a professional basis. I will miss her greatly. My prayers are with her family at this time.

Dear Laura, Billy & Mr. Knapp,
I was so sorry to hear about your loss. I have fond memories of Jackie when we were growing up - always smiling, always happy and absolutely the nicest person to be around. The days, months and years ahead will be difficult - some times more than others. Just keep your memories close to your heart and hopefully that will bring a smile to your faces.

Mr. Knapp, Laura and Billy,
My sister contacted me tonight to tell me about the loss of your wife and mother.
I have always had a special place in my heart for your mom and all of you. I always saw her as a beautiful and gracious woman. The world has truly lost a 'very special' woman and she will be missed not only by you and your family, but by all those she touched throughout her life.
Please accept my deepest sympathy. I hope you can find some comfort in knowing that your mom and all of you are my thoughts and prayers.
May God watch over and Bless all of you during these sorrowful times.

I met Jackie in 1970 when I joined the Lyons Police Department. The department always had a great relationship with her and her staff and all the officers checked in on them day and night. In 1984 I married my wife Katie and found out that her and Jackie’s daughter Laura were close friends and that my new brother-in-law, Pat (PK) was best friends with Jackie’s son Billy. Where ever you saw Pat, you saw Billy. They are that close.
Over the next 24 years we saw the Knapps at many functions and get togethers. In 2004 Katie and I moved to Texas and have only been back to the Chicago area once and that was for my father-in-law’s funeral and of course the Knapps attended.
Jackie was a wonderful person and truly a classy lady. She will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Knapp Family, Please accept my deepest sympathy on the loss of your wife/mother. Mrs. Knapp was a wonderful person, she always had a kind word to say and was so upbeat and positive. Seeing you all over the last year reminded me of so many great memories as we were growing up. I will always remember the kindness she extended to our family. She will be missed but there is another "star" in heaven shining on you now and always. You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. Mary Kay
