My prayers and condolences to the family on the passing of Jake. He was a presence to be reckoned with while tending to the security of the First District, both inside and out. His tone of voice got things done, but the smile and twinkle in his eyes showed his warmth and kindness! Rest in peace Jake!

I had the distinction and privilege of knowing both "Jake" and his son Pat through our common employment. Jake the old pro and Pat the young gun, both good men and good cops. Each clearly proud of each other. My condolences to their families and friends.

Jake was a wonderful husband, father, and friend. He will be deeply missed by everyone who knew him. No words can express the sadness we feel for K (Kittie), Kathy, and Patrick. Don't hesitate to ask if there is anything we can do now or in the difficult months ahead. With all our love,
