JACK PHILLIPS Obituary

Nov. 8, 1949 - July 11, 2016 OKLAHOMA CITY Jack Michael "Mike" Phillips, 66, went to be with the Lord July 11, 2016, after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. Mike was born Nov. 8, 1949, in Duncan, OK to U. Jack & Gadawn (Kelley) Phillips Morris. From an early age, Mike was an avid golfer and could frequently be found on the many courses around Oklahoma. Mike served his country in the Army and received an honorable discharge. After his military service, he worked in the oil and gas industry before owning and operating his own lawn care and landscaping business. Mike was always willing to help a friend or neighbor in need, and his caring and charitable attitude will be remembered by many. Mike is survived by his sister, Becky & husband Jim Jackson; nephew, Todd Jackson; his favorite cousin, Cindy and husband Turner Davis; and numerous extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; stepfather, Cecil Morris; grandparents; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
