DIED JULY 20, 2010
KINGS MOUNTAIN -Jack Cobb, age 71, of 803 Phifer Road, passed away, July 20, 2010 at Kings Mountain Hospice House. Born in Cleveland County, son of the late Eustus Dwight and Ella Beulah Carroll Cobb and was also preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Carolyn Sanders Cobb, son Brian Cobb and a brother Bill Cobb. A member of First Baptist Church, Kings Mountain, he was a member of the M & M Sunday School Class, The Church Welcome Center and a former mem-ber of the Social Committee. He retired from Winn-Dixie after 45 years of service and was an avid golfer and a member of the Cleveland County Senior Men's Golf Association. He served in the US Army. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. "He was the Best" The family would like to send a special thanks to Dr. S. Pal and his staff. He is survived by Daughters; Sandra C. "Chub" Baker and husband Dr. Stephen Steve" Baker, Kings Mountain,Yogi C. Williamson and husband Tim, Waxhaw, Brother; Clyde Cobb and wife Marcia, Cheraw, S.C. Sister; Marie Ling, Inglewood, S.C. Geraldine Hullender and husband Ralph, Atlanta, Ga. Grandchildren; Trigg Williamson, Maelee Williamson, Adeline Williamson, Caroline Baker, Sam Baker, Meredith Baker.
Visitation: Saturday, July 24, 6 – 8 p.m., Harris Funeral Home
Funeral Service: Sunday, July 25, 3 p.m. First Baptist Church
Officiating: Dr. John Sloan
Interment: Mountain Rest Cemetery
