Isabel Shillestad Obituary

Isabel, you are a ray of sunshine in everyone's life. Your laugh, your support, your understanding, your selflessness. You held together the Keebler gang over many many years, being the center, focal point for us all. I will miss you.

Isabe, I have been trying to send an e-mail to you since the newspaper notice appeared on the 26th. I guess I'm not as computer savy as I thought , but for you I will continue to try even if it takes all of the 30 days provided by the newspaper. Although our freindship started on a business level, we quicklky became good friends - and your freindship is to be valued, because you always made it so easy.

I will not say that you are now in a better place, but, moreover, whatever place you are in is abetter place because you are there! My sincere condolences to your dear family and friends. with much sympathy to our loss.....Chris

To my dearest boss Isabel,

As I entered our office today I felt so empty without you. As I sit at my desk my eyes are forever teary but, I know that your spirit is forever with me! Isabel you've taught me so much in our last 5 years together...I am FOREVER grateful! I KNOW that you, John and myself were heaven sent to one another. As I told you before I thought of you as my Boss,Mother,Friend, and Mentor! I will continue to help all involved as we strive to keep your company(baby)up and running! Isabel don't worry, I'll be keeping a eye on John as usual!!!!!!!!!!!

What comes to mind when I think of Isabel is grace, humor, wisdom and generosity. She faced her illness without complaining and faced death with grace. She was always laughing and valued humor in her friends. She was a wise friend to me and many others. She was generous with her time, her love and her home. She was an original. My prayers are with John and Isabel's family.

Isabel....You can never be replaced in my heart. I will miss you all the days of my life but I can't thank you enough for all the wonderful times together as well as the many conversations filled with good advice . We will all miss your positive attitude, your constant drive and the love you have given to each of us. Thank you Izzie for being you.

Isabel-- though we met only a few times and mostly spoke on the phone, I know Chris and I enjoyed your company greatly and admired your positive attitude. Best wishes to all your loved ones, and best wishes on all your new, continuing adventures away from us on this earthly plane. We will always think of you.

You were such an inspiration for me, the most positive, caring, generous friend anyone could have. The times we went bar hopping on Friday's, you refusing to check your mink and dragging it into every bar with you, the wonderful dinners at restaurants I could never afford myself and your wonderful condo in Florida that you shared so graciously with all of us. These were just the tip of the iceberg! You are so dearly missed!

Reggy and I extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Isabel. She was a wonderful neighbor and we will miss her.

Isabel, I learned that there are truly angels among us when you came into my father's life. Your compassion, caring and patience were always an example for me and I can never thank you enough for these gifts you gave all of us. I only saw you a few times in my life but they were all pleasant times. I will always remember your hospitality, "Speedys" and of course the "flowers and the flower man". May you rest in peace and take your due reward. I will miss you and heaaring stories about you from Linda.
