Miss my talks with Ike. A great mentor I will never forget. A mensch.

30 yrs ago when I worked at Rodenstock USA in Danbury CT Ike was a father figure to me in my sales career. He always had suggestions on how to do better, had an optimistic attitude and I gravitated toward him for his support and friendship. He said to me "Be honest, tell your customers what you're going to do, then do it". Walking through Vision Expo in New York each year, I was amazed at how many eyecare pros knew him, and waved him over, and respected him in our industry. I will take some of what he taught me and pay it forward to the young people of today. In that way, Ike continues on in the future and in our hearts. Thomas Varhol

Ike was one of the first salesman that called on me when I was promoted to a buyer role way back in 1979. His impeccable dress (try to tie a tie like Ike did - GQ all the way) and his personable, professional and knowledgeable skills, coupled with his unwavering integrity, created an instant level of trust with his customers and helped him develop long-term relationships. He stayed in touch with me long after I moved on to other responsibilities in my career and was always thoughtful and compassionate. Every once in awhile I'd get a phone call, and there was Ike to say hi and see how I was doing. He will be missed but never forgotten. My heartfelt condolences to the family.

It was a privilege to know and work with Ike for many years. He was a source of wisdom and had an amazing dedication to his endeavors and family. Bless you Natalie.
