Sorkin, Irving Isadore age 89, beloved husband of the late Mae (nee Putterman), loving father of Anita (Lawrence) Hammerman, Gail (Nathan) Shorr and Debra (Charles) Zis, cherished grandfather of Randi (Jeff) Witham, Brian (Jennifer) and Michael (Dana) Hammerman; Samuel (Bonnie), Benjamin, Sharon and Jacob Shorr, Norah (Brian) Kartagener and Michelle Zis, proud great-grandfather of Lauren, Hayden, Devon, Noah, Talya and Elliana, dear brother of Frances (the late William) Kurtzman, the late Betty, Leona and Harold Sorkin, Ethel (Albert) Alhalel and Shirley Hauptman, fond brother-in-law of Tillie Sorkin, Joseph Hauptman, Joseph (the late Belle) Putterman, Esther (Morris) Moschel, Nettie (Abe) Matthew, the late Rae (Jack) April and Elsie (Robert) Bass, fond uncle of many nieces and nephews. Services Tuesday, 11 a.m., at The Weinstein Family Services Wilmette Chapel, 111 Skokie Boulevard. Interment Antipoler Aid Society Cemetery, Gate #72, Jewish Waldheim, Forest Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lieberman Geriatric Centre, 9700 Gross Point Road, Skokie, ILL., 60076. My mother is Muriel (Sorkin) Gerber. Jack Sorkin was her father. I also work for Janice (Sorkin) Goldsmith.

I believe that your Father was my very first boss when I went to work for Ceco Steel, which would have been early 1950's.
Wanted to say he was a very wonderful person and I valued his knowledge at that time.
