Dear Sally and Fanily,
We are so saddened to hear of Irv's passing. My husband shared a room with Irv at Northwest Community Hospital and we thoght that he was such a nice man and you are such a wonderful family filled with love. I remember sharing lots of long days (and candy) with you and Jill at the hospital. Although, we only shared a couple of days together please know that you and Irv are in our hearts and prayers. God bless you.

Dear Sally and Family,
For many years I have had the honor to observe the deep love and respect shown to Irv when visiting Al Menotti's Salon. May knowing that others care help to dilute your pain and may the healing be gentle.
Fondly,

Esther

Best portion of a good man's life,
His little, nameless, unremembered acts
Of kindness and of love

-William Wordsworth

There are those people who come into your life, who you know are unique and special. You know this almost intuitively, not by what they say but by what they don’t have to say; my Uncle Irv Bemoras is one of those rare and unique individuals, who I can say has blessed my life, and the life of my family.

I have very few childhood memories, but one that I can succinctly visualize is the day that my aunt married my uncle. Looking back on this day, how truly fortunate for us all, that my aunt knew what was important in a mate, and chose to marry someone so similar to her father. I recall looking up at both of them and thinking that they were the tallest people in the world. Decades later, I still feel the same. My uncle’s height was symbolic of who he was in life, as he was larger than life, kinder than kind, more considerate, compassionate, and more loving then most. My uncle who whose priority was always his family; his wife, his children and his grandchildren. A man who led by example, and who was always, always there.

There is no one that can take your place in my heart. I miss you today, as I will miss you always...

Your niece,
Randi

Mrs.Bemoras & family
My thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. I have such fond memories of Mr. Bemoras, having spent so much of my youth around the Bemoras family.
I learned so much from Mr. Bemoras. He was a hero, a superstar, but not just because of his great basketball career. I used to look forward to the open gym that he provided and knowing that he would always have a kind word and encouragement for all of us. What a role model he was. May G-d bless him and his family.

Irv was a true credit to his race, the human race.

Dear Sally,
My earliest memory of Irv was this
handsome giant of a man with the
bluest eyes I'd ever seen. He used
to walk me home (all of 2 doors away) after an evening of babysitting for David, Bobby and
Jill. He'd pay me the $.50 per hour that I'd earned and always give me a little more. Then say
"OK, go inside, it's cold out here.
He was loved and respected by my
parents, Claire and Laurie and by
my brother Howard and myself. What
a wonderful family to grow up next
door to. My brother and I wish you
sincere condolences on your tremendous loss. He was a kind, sweet, loving man and will be missed by so many.
Love to all,
Judi Berlowe-Levitan

Bobby and Abbe,
I am really sorry to hear about Irv. He was such a nice man. I will always remember him sitting at the Sephardic Temple on the high holidays. It always seemed to me that he was there because he knew how important the Sephardic Heritage was and that he didn't want it to go by the wayside.

What was even more amazing about him was, he did not know me that well, but he always knew I was Ralph's son, he always remembered my name, and, he always treated me with friendship and respect. You should be proud that he was your father.

I know my dad is very upset about his passing and wishes everyone in your family his best. I am very sorry for the loss.

While we didn't know Irv well and had met only a few times we were fortunate enough to witness his true class and character. He and his wife Sally showed up at the nursing home virtually everyday to support my mother-in-law during the last few months of my father-in-laws life. We will always be in awe of, and grateful for, the generosity of their hearts & their time.
