Irma Sanchez Obituary

Sanchez, Irma (nee Diaz), 60, passed away surrounded by family on September 8, 2016, after a brief illness. Longtime resident of the south side of Chicago, of Canaryville and Garfield Ridge neighborhoods. Irma was the beloved mother of Nick (Christina) Sanchez and Paco (Kathleen) Sanchez; adoring grandmother to Jacob, Sarah, Andrew, Nathan, Olivia, and Anna; loving sister to Sal (Vivian) Diaz, CPD retired, Joe (Vicky) Diaz, Carlos (Sheila) Diaz, and Mina Diaz. She was preceded in death by her parents, Salvador and AnaMaria Diaz. She also was a wonderful aunt, godmother, niece, cousin, and dear friend to many. She would do anything for those for whom she cared. Irma put everyone else's needs before her own. After retirement. She spent her time caring for her grandchildren and spending time with family and friends, especially her sister Mina.
