Mackevich, Ira E. beloved husband for over 76 years of the late Alice (nee Hesdorffer), loving father of Gene (Barbara) and the late Daniel A. (Betty), adored grandfather of Jeffrey (Susan Zukrow), Marietta Hesdorffer (Jay), Nancy Glazer (Barry), Beth Butler (Bruce), Dorothy Marks (Peter), Elise Salchli (Fred) and Carin Peacock (Matt), proud great-grandfather of 15, devoted brother of the late Mitzi Kaplan, fond brother-in-law of Dr. Eugene (Gilda) and the late M.B. Hesdorffer, dear uncle of three generations of nieces and nephews, cherished friend of Sara Chavez, Billie Nickelson, Irish and Vivian Latosquin. Services Tuesday, 10 a.m., at The Weinstein Funeral Home, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette. Interment Memorial Park, Skokie. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to IL Holocaust Museum and Education Center, 1603 Orrington Ave., Suite 815, Evanston, IL, 60201. For info: 847-256-5700
