Mackevich, Alice (nee Hesdorffer), beloved wife for over 76 years of Ira E. Mackevich, loving mother of Gene (Barbara) and the late Daniel A. (Betty) Mackevich, adored grandmother of Jeffrey (Susan Zukrow) Mackevich, Marietta (Jay) Hesdorffer, Nancy (Barry) Glazer, Beth (Bruce) Butler, Dorothy (Peter) Marks, Elise (Fred) Salchli and Carin (Matt) Peacock, great-grandmother of 15, beloved sister of Dr. Eugene (Gilda) Hesdorffer and the late M.B. Hesdorffer, fond sister-in-law of Mitzi Kaplan, dear aunt of 3 generations of nieces and nephews, cherished friend of Sara Chavez and Billie Nickelson. Services Friday, May 13 at 10 a.m. at Weinstein Funeral Home North Shore Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette (1 block north of Old Orchard). Interment Memorial Park Cemetery, Skokie. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Holocaust Memorial Foundation, 4255 Main St., Skokie, IL, 60076.
