To Paula, Ed, Sean, and Jimmy, I was so sad to hear about the loss of your beloved Ian. Although I only knew him a short time, he was such a spunky little guy. I am so sorry and I am sure you miss him so much.

Paula and family, I am so, so sorry that you are going through these difficult times. I have never met Ian, but if he was anything like his older brothers he must have been a great lad. All in Ireland, and here in Wales, are thinking of you. As I said to you earlier, Ian was lucky to have you as parents.

My Dearest Ian,
No words can express the pain your passing has caused. My only hope for you now is that you are at peace, and that your suffering has ended. You fought a long, hard battle and did so fearlessly and with dignity. There was never a moment that I wasn't proud of you. You never ceased to amaze me. I have learned so much from you. You are my hero. I am honored and privledged that God chose me to be your Mom.
I want you know that I never tired of taking care of you and that I would have walked to the ends of the earth for you. You brought so much joy and love to my life. God sent me the best baby he had in heaven the day you were born.
I will love and miss you until the end of time. When I hear "Love Me Tender", I will think of you and smile for that was your song.
Happy Birthday Lil Man!!!
Love,
Mom

Thank you for all of your kind posts, thoughts and prayers. Ian was loved by everyone who knew him. He could melt your heart with his smile, laugh and his eyes. Many people look at others as hero's(the pilot who landed on the Hudson for example). Ian was my hero. Someone told me that toughness isn't measured by how hard you hit, but by how hard you can get hit and get back up. That was my Ian. You're my little Rocky. God needed a new Angel to train others on how to be, and he took you home. You have a stranglehold on my heart Ian and I will think of you everyday. You have changed the lives of many people in my community and have made them stronger. I will see you in my dreams. Watch over Jimmy and Sean, for they need you now more than ever. And when you are ready, show yourself to your mother so that she can see you and know your whole. I love you my little Mister Mister. See you on the other side-Love Dad
