Robert age 88, respected and beloved pediatrician for over 50 years; beloved husband of the late Estelle nee Ross; loving father of Richard (Beth), Dr. Bennett (Amy), Stephen (Sylvia), Gary (Lori) and Daniel (Debbie) Plotnick; adored grandfather of Ashley (Seth Schriftman), Jeffrey, Scott, Amanda, Samantha, Alexas, Haley, Maya, and Jacob Plotnick; proud great grandfather of Noah Schriftman; cherished companion and friend of Marsha Mandel; dear brother of the late Elizabeth Berman. Graveside service Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at Shalom Memorial Park, Rand & Wilke Rds., Arlington Heights. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Jewish Child and Family Services, 3145 W. Dr Plotnik was my pediatrician. I have fond memories of his kindness. At that time, he would give us a lollipop if we were good. If the lollipop was broken , he called it a "mommy" lollipop. I am now 70 - 2024

I am very sorry about the loss of Dr. Plotnick. He was my husbands doctor and my children's as well. They both adored him and he always made them better. RIP Dr. Plotnick

I was saddened to hear of the loss of Dr. Plotnick. My children were patients of his since 1961 and they adored him. We lived across the street from his little office in the Rexall bldg. My daughter took her children to him and is still with his service. Her boys adored him, also. He will be missed. My thoughts are with you at this sad time. Joanne Purvin, Wheeling, Illinois

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I absolutely adored Dr. Plotnick. I worked with him for many years and I still think he was one of the best doctors I have ever met.
