Osvelia and Family:
I knew your husband well as he was a very good friend of my husband, Howard Goodman (Goodman Electric). Howard, as you may know, passed away nearly two years ago. I understand your loss and know that, in time, you will find the peace that will follow. Your memories will keep him close and you will never forget the time God gave you together.

Mr. Savit was my teacher in the early 80's. He had the patience of a saint-- how else could he possibly put up with a constant stream of 12 year old musicians? There will never another teacher quite like him, and he will be sorely missed.

My son graduated from McCracken in June 2008 and plays french horn. While he wasn't a student of Hy's, I did attend many band concerts. Hy's support was greatly appreciated by everyone. He will be missed.
