Marge and all the Livingston Family,
A week has passed since you said your final goodbyes and celebrated the life of such a truly wonderful man. I feel especially for you, Marge, and, of course, for each of you in your sadness. I will miss Homer who was ever kind to me and our family. May the new year and the grey days of winter slowly yield to spring in each of your lives. My heart remains with you.

Homer - a gentleman and thoughtful colleague who treated everyone as he would want to be treated. These qualities and his keen intellect enabled him to successfully manage disparate businesses. I wish I could have shared many more times with him.

My brother, Jim McGinnis, just sent a note telling us of the loss of Commodore Livingston. Since Jim and John were in school together, I have heard wonderful stories of Mr. Livingston and the rest of your family. Jim looked up to Mr. Livingston and spoke of him with admiration and fondness always. John is extremely important to my brother.
Jim mentioned that Mr. Livingston sponsored him for the Chicago Yacht Club, a membership Jim retains and values to this day despite having moved to Texas.
I am sorry for your loss but am glad that your father/grandfather was such an influential person in the lives of many, including my brother's. The world is clearly a better place.
Best,
Ann McGinnis
