Schmidt, Herman age 93, beloved husband of the late Lillian (nee Hirsch), loving father of Theodore (Patricia) of Burr Ridge, IL and Richard (Tami) of Naples, FL, cherished grandfather of Arielle, Ciarra, Gabrielle, Noah, Mollie (Eric) Cole and Michael, great-grandfather of Andrew, Lillee and Ashlee Cole, dear brother of Belle Willens and the late Phillip and Sam Schmidt, fond uncle of Bonita (Bunny) Simons, Sherry, Steve, and Caryn Schmidt. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Assocation, 8430 W. Bryn Mawr Ave. #800, Chicago, IL 60631. Service Friday 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Mausoleum Chapel, 9900 Gross Point Rd., Skokie, IL. Entombment at Memorial Park Mausoleum. Hello Ted,
I was saddened to hear the news of the loss of your father. He certainly lived a wonderful life of 93 years. Please remember all the wonderful times you had together and may he rest in peace. He was an accomplished business man, but more importantly was extremely successful with raising a wonderful family. Your dad’s torch for life's passions will be carried on.
Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.

Our sincere condolences to the family of Herman Schmidt. We only saw him a few times down in Bonita Springs when he was with Tami and Richard but enjoyed talking to him and laughing at his stories. He became pretty ornry down there at times.
