Herman Grever Obituary

Grever, Herman Lester 78, of Lake Zurich, IL, passed peacefully on Tuesday, December 20, 2005, born May 3, 1927, in Lake Zurich to the late Herman and Emma Grever (nee Hapke), one of 12 children, is survived by his loving wife, Mardeen J. Grever (nee Bicknase), daughter, Gayle Filantres-Schnieder, son-in-law, Clifford Schneider of Rolling Meadows, IL, son, Lester O. Grever, grandsons, Colin (10) and Sloan (17) and daughter-in-law, Cathy Grever all of Grayslake, IL. Herman graduated from Ela-Vernon High School (Lake Zurich) and was employed as a farmer/beef and milk cattle specialist before entering the sheet metal business for 35 years. He was active in the community with coaching boys sports, leader in Boy Scouts and a great supporter of the Girl Scouts with his wife leader, Mardeen. He was elected to the District #95 School Board and was a member for two terms. Visitation will be at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, 47 Church St. (Midlothian), Lake Zurich, IL, on January 4, 2006, from 4 to 7 p.m. with a brief memorial at 7 p.m. Interment at Lake Zurich Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations to the charity of the donor's choice or Good Shepherd Chapel/Hospital on 450 W. Hwy. 22, Barrington, 60010 or St. Peter's United Church of Christ at the address above, would be appreciated.
