Dr. Cibul was my pediatrician during the early- to mid-1970s. I remember him as a truly kind and caring doctor with both expertise and compassion. My deepest sympathies.

Working with Dr. Cibul as his nurse for over 20 years I truly got to know what a caring person, doctor and teacher he was. He never left the office without saying "thank you for the day". We developed more than a professional relationship as we shared the joy at the growth of our families through births and weddings. We were even close enough to become care givers to their cherished family pet - Bolo.
My husband Don and I send our deepest sympathies to Georgia and the girls. He brought song and smiles to all our lives. We will miss him dearly.

I grew up knowing Herb Cibul as "Hubert". He lived in the next building from me on Ingleside Ave. in the Hyde Park section of Chicago.
He was a superb pianist, and we both took lessons from Mildred Freeman Kolmas. I hope that he continued to play the piano because he had tremendous talent.
We had a great reunion dinner several years ago.
What touching tributes appear in this guest book.
My condolences to his family and many friends.

I remember Hubie with such fond memories. Our high school days at Hyde Park were filled with laughter and great companionship. We went our separate ways and were fortunate to see each other again at our 50th reunion. It was a wonderful evening and I was lucky enough to sit with Hubie and other classmates as we caught up on the past years of our lives. I will always cherish those memories of dear Hubie. My deepest sympathy and condolences to the family.

Please accept my deepest sympathies for your loss. I know Dr. Cibul will be missed very much. I was very sick as a child and had to see many doctors throughout my illness. Although I have not seen Dr. Cibul for years, he is the only doctor I really remember. He was so kind to me - he made me feel comfortable and very special. Thanks to him, I am still here today to remember what a great man he was. He will forever remain in my prayers.

We renewed an old acquaintanceship at the 50th Hyde Park reunion in 1998 and had lunch a few times in the past year. As nice a guy as he was fifty years ago. I'm shocked and dismayed.

We were so very sorry to learn of Dr. Cibul's death. My family met him in 1976 when our first child was born. Then he also became doctor to our next four children. He had a very special relationship with children so that they were not afraid when told they had a doctor appointment. Our sincere condolences to the family.

To the family of Dr. Herb Cibul,
My deepest sympathy on your loss. While I haven't seen Dr. Cibul in many years, he will always hold a special place in my memory. His kindness and empathy during my daughter's illness was so appreciated. If he hadn't been of such generous spirit and referred her for special testing, we may not have her with us today. A lovely man. He will be missed.
