Henry Groh Obituary

Groh, Henry "Hank" 81, of Oak Brook, WWII Veteran, participated in many campaigns including the invasion of Normandy at Omaha Beach. Received many medals for his participation in these campaigns. Mr. Groh was a member of Oak Brook Community Church and Owner of H. Groh Builders. He was a builder in the Oak Brook area for 40 years, built the first home in the Midwest Club and has since been the builder of choice for most custom homes in Oak Brook. Beloved dad of Lori and Tom Groh, loving brother of Edward (Mary) Groh, Alma (Lee) Phipps, Florence (Don) McIasc, Amelia (Patrick) Spero, Edna (Al) Angelucci, Robert (Barbara) Groh, Lenore (Carmen) LaBello and the late Fred (Jeanette) Groh, Marilyn Ionazzi and Elsie (Ken) Klein, dear brother-in-law of Daniel Ionazzi and the late Charles Reuss, Tom Brisch and John Miller, fond uncle to numerous nieces, nephews and friend to many. Lying in state Thursday, 9 a.m., at Oak Brook Community Church, 10 a.m. service. Interment Chapel Hill Gardens West Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday, 3 to 9 p.m. at Chapel Hill Gardens West Funeral Home, 17W201 Roosevelt Rd. (just west of Route 83), Oakbrook Terrace.
