Dear Mrs. K -
It's not the same when I come home and visit my parents in Chicago. I use to see you watering your beautiful garden - all the flowers are gone now. You would invite me over for coffee and we would have some great conversation catching up. I admired you. A woman so full of life, intelligent, creative, witty, warm and a compassionate soul. Your voice is silent but I can still hear the echo. I hope you get to see Scott in heaven - tell him I miss and love him sooo much. And if you see Kenny, tell him I am so happy I got to see him. You are truly missed and live on in my heart. Love, Donna

"AUNT HELEN"
Aunt Helen was the youngest of the three infamous and legendary "SOWA" girls. Aunt Helen, along with my mom and Aunt Jo, would never pass up the opportunity to be photographed together. I am so glad they did this as these photos present pleasant memories for our families and they will memorialize the "Sowa" sisters for generations to come.
Aunt Helen was a progressive woman and she was ahead of her time.
Aunt Helen you are only a breathe away.
May your legacy live on.
With love from your niece, Geri xoxoxo

Dear Aunt Helen,
I miss you so much! I miss your always warm and happy personality at our family gatherings. I miss talking to you on the phone and hearing all about your daily adventures. And one never knew just where you had been to that day!
When I hugged you, you would say "That was my x number hug today." You truly were a beautiful woman!
Hope you're having fun with Uncle Bernie and your sisters. I cannot wait to see you all in Heaven!!
Love Christine

Dear Aunt Helen,
Uptil you departed us, there never was a time when there was not an Auntie Helen in my life. You were and are my hero. There so many things I admired about you, but most of all you were a very loving person and a very good person. Common sense couple with a intelligence and poise- a wonderful woman. My mother missed you very much and Aunt Lottie. She often told me after both of you were gone that "I hear my sisters calling me", I pray for you and will always remember you.
Your loving nephew,
Ken

Dear Aunt Helen,
I always loved your positive outlook in life. You always put me in a good mood. One of my favorite memories of you was when you squirted whip cream in my mouth straight from the can! It felt like we were breaking all the parental rules.
Love you always and forever,
Roger

Dear Auntie Helen,
We remember all the fun times we had as families together. All the holidays, cook outs and parties. I remember the perogi assembly line at my grandmothers house and you, Aunt Jo and my Busia all cooking, chopping, boiling and sorting what seemed like hundreds of perogi's. How wonderful.I remember your adventurous spirit and love of "going out". You were always at every family function and always made it special. You will be missed.
Big Hugs and lots of love,
Pauline, Craig, Lindsay CJ and Gracie
