Harriet Goldberg Obituary

Goldberg, Harriet Harriet "Peggy" Goldberg, 90, former resident of 1040 Lake Shore Drive, Chicago. Beloved wife of the late William J. Loving mother of John (Catharine) Goldberg and Jody (Michael) Goldman. Proud grandmother of Dori Goldman, Heidi McColough and Rachel Goldberg. Adored great-grandmother of Zoey McColough. Fond sister of Herbert (Lee) Davidson. Peggy, who was the original "Hotpoint Girl" in print advertising, was a model and actress from the age of 13. A proud member of SAG, she appeared in many films and TV shows shot here in Chicago, including "Dennis the Menace," "Risky Business," and "Blues Brothers." She was a strong supporter of many charities and served as President of The Chicago Club for Crippled Children as well as the Women's Auxiliary of Hektoen Institute. Peggy was one of Chicago's most beautiful women, both inside and out, and won many beauty contests throughout her life. Graveside services Wednesday 11:00 am at Oak Woods Cemetery, 1035 E. 67th Street, Chicago.
