I knew Mr. Berc, as I called him from the time I was a little girl, through my parents, Lillian and Branko Steiner. They were good friends for many years and my dad, also an attorney, shared office space with him at 120 S. LaSalle and at 33 N. LaSalle. My parents thought very highly of him and so did I. I last saw him a few years ago at The Hallmark and invited him to our home but it just didn't work out. My husband joins me in sending our deepest sympathy.
