Dear Bernie,

Inga, please know, my Mother and I are here with you, and for you. Hans was an extraordinary man. I admired him so for his skills. I enjoyed him so for his humor. I cherished him so for how generous he was with his time and support. There were many times that support provided great comfort to my Mother and myself. Hans gave of himself without hesitation, and with a gratuitous heart. I truly mourn his passing. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. You have been in my constant thoughts. My thoughts are with the Berhens family upon hearing of Hans passing. I have many fond memories of the years I worked with Hans at the Adler. Hans was in many ways the master of the planetarium during its golden age. His deep knowledge and technical ability is what kept the stars shing on the dome. I will always remember the many stories he told about his remarkable life.
