Some years after Dr. McMaster's death, I still think of what a genuine human being he was. He was very honest in his opinions. He said things as they are/were. I only wish that men and women in the teaching profession would have the integrity he had. I do not think he eve showed favoritism to any. He treated me with dignity and respect. He judged people on their merits. What an example for all educators.

As a District Superintendent in CPS, Dr. McMaster established a preparation program for the Principal's Exam in the 82'-83' school year. I had just begun teaching in his district and I signed up.
I can truthfully say that without the expert preparation provided by Dr. McMaster, I would not have passed Principal's Exam in May 1983, and later spend twenty years as the principal of the Gladstone Elementary School. Thank you, Dr. McMaster. Rest in peace.

Dr. MacMaster was District 25 Superintendent in the Chicago Public Schools when I first started to teach. He was so good to me. He was fair, very smart and kind. All his staff liked him. He trusted all of us and gave us faith in our abilities. When I think of my teaching days, I think how well he knew what to do and how to do it. He inspired me and others who taught. Teaching is a noble profession and he believed it, I know. I did not know his family, but they should be so very proud of their father and grandfather.
