Dear Daddy,

I can't believe it is almost a month that you are gone. That last week was really bad and we know that you are at peace but we still miss you. I am sure you were happy to see Ma and are probably playing cribbage with Uncle Jerry right now.

At the end, we wished we could have talked to you and you could have talked to us. We hope that you heard us and understood when we told you how much we loved you and what a wonderful father you were. Just before Ma died, she told us to take care of you because you were a special Dad. She claimed she was an ordinary Mom but in reality we were all so lucky to have you both for parents. It was unfair how you had to live the last years of your life but you were strong and kept going for us I am sure. I think you knew on Saturday night that the four of us were there with you and we shared our good memories with you which is why I think you chose then to leave us so peacefully. We will think of you always and remember what a good life you made for us and what a wonderful family life we had. I still tell the story of how you laid down in the back seat of the car when I first learned to drive so that I could act like a big shot and drive around. We did take you to McDonalds that day though so it was not a lost trip. If you can remember us now,(and I believe you can) always know that we love you and will miss you and your sparkling blue eyes and that great smile and laugh. We will take care of Joan for you because we know you were always worried about her since she was your favorite.

Love,

Loretta, Arlene, Guy and Joan

To My Cousins,

It was so sad for me to see you under those circumstances, but I know it was such a happy time for your Dad. When he stood in the presence of Jesus and behind HIm was your Mom. He promises to wipe away every tear. Some how I believe that in those tears that your Dad had because he had to leave, where equally tears of joy when he hugged his bride again.............I know I don't see all of you very much but you will always be in my heart.

May Christ live in your heart.....

Love you,

Maryanne
