For this Christmas all I can say in Thank you. Thank you for your love. Thank you for your support. Thank you for taking care and loving my father the way you have. Thank you for taking care and loving me! You are a great mother; a great woman. Thank you for being my rock when all else was water.

For my Daddy this Christmas... his gift to me in his eternal love, for it follows me everywhere I go. My gift to him, my heart, for he is the love of my life. I will carry his legacy with pride.

I have known my brother for 54 years of my life, I still cannot believe that he is gone. I know deep in my heart that he was very sick and that his time had come but I am having a really hard time letting go. My brother, you will alway be in my heart and in my memories. Joe is survived by his mother who is 85 years old and eight siblings, he has three children, Joeseph, Renee and Ashley Gonzalez and three grandchildren, Matthew, Sophia, and Demetrius. Before my brother passed, he wanted to let all his sisters that we were his princess'. We love you Guadalupie, you will always be in our heart. Please wait for us in heaven.

Be proud knowing your husband was loved by so many people. Joe always had that million dollar smile that gave you the assurance everything was going to be all right. He was a positive force. He was an honorable man. He was a kind man. He was a family man. And above all, Edda, Joe loved you. Take comfort knowing you took good care of Joe to the end and now he is wrapped in the arms of our Heavenly Father who is the Absolute goodness.

Joe was a good man. I knew him as a good Police Officer and a friend from a while ago. I knew that he had been a good Paratrooper Soldier. My condolences to his family and may he rest in peace.

Thank you everyone for all your kind letters of support, cards, phone calls and flowers. It pleases us so much that my husband Guadalupe (Joe) Gonzalez was so loved by so many people. Today, I received a couple of e-mails from his Viet Nam buddies who were sharing their memories about Joe.
