Hi daddy,

Well I have made it through my first 3 months of college and I am still going strong. It has not been easy and I can definitely say that I will be happy to be home for the holidays. However, they wont be the same since you wont be there. I mean I know you will be there in spirit, but it just wont be the same to not sit and open up presents with you and mom on christmas eve or to give you a kiss and hug at midnight on new years. Somehow we will make it through and know you are there. So if you can give me a little push in the next few weeks when I am too tired to study anymore for finals or when I am upset because you arent there for mom, amy and I to say that "all we want for christmas is you", then I am sure I will some how find the courage to make it through.

Hi daddy,

Just stopped in to to say hello. Tonight is senior father/daughter dance and guess what? The theme is our song, My Girl. I wish I could dance with you in the living room, but I know you and I will be doing the two step( and yes I will still insist on leading) in my heart.xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox oxoxox

Hi Daddy,

Just wanted to stop and tell you I love you. We went to the josh groban concert and a little bird gave us a hint that you were there too. Hope you enjoyed it. We also celebrated momma's birthday and know that you were there in spirit. I wish you were here with us. The days just seem to go by in a blur and it's not the same without you. I even cried when I set the table last night, because you wouldnt be coming to the table. Tell everyone I love them and I'm sending you a hug and a smooch.xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox o

Mr. Beeson,

Almost every time I came over to the house, you were sitting in your chair in the dining room doing your crossword puzzle for the day. It's not going to be the same without you sitting there. I'm going to miss our conversations about computers and about politics. You and Mrs. Beeson were always great to me and made me feel part of the family, and I considered you and Mrs. Beeson to be my dad and mom. I'll miss you very much.

Love,

Chris

I met Greg when I worked in the First Police District in the 1980s. we learned that we were both from the same street in the old neighborhood but a couple years apart. I worked a different watch than him but when I would see Greg he always had an amusing story or he mentioned people we both knew from the "old days" that would key more memories. He was a good guy and a real gentleman.
