Grazia Iacobellis Obituary

Iacobellis, Grazia

Grazia Iacobellis, age 91, passed away May 9, 2024. She was born December 13, 1932 in Bari, Italy to the late Michael and Rosa Scavo. Beloved wife to the late John Iacobellis; loving mother to Annetta (the late Patrick) Dawson, Roseann (Steven) Sims, Tina Iacobellis and Thomas (Phyllis) Iacobellis; cherished grandmother of John Patrick (Veronica), Kelly Marie, Theadora Rose, Katie, Jack, Sean and Brenna Grace. Preceded in death by many loved ones.

A visitation will be held on Monday, May 13, 2024 from 4 – 8 p.m. at Elmhurst Community Funeral Home – THE AHLGRIM CHAPEL, 567 South Spring Road, Elmhurst. Mass 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14 th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 134 Arthur Street, Elmhurst. Entombment Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.

In 1952, Grace met the love of her life, John, in Italy. 58 years of marriage, 4 kids and seven grandkids later, they built a big life made of love, surrounded by family, chaos, and Sunday dinners. Grace was a fiery pistol, she carried herself with poise, and filled every room with her presence. Known as everyone's favorite grandma, she left a piece of her spirit in all those that crossed her path. To have known Grace, was to love her. Her legacy lives on in each of us, and she will be deeply missed.
