Fond sister of the late Lucille (the late Harold) Kartun. Services Monday, 11:00 a.m., at Emanuel Congregation, 5959 N. Sheridan Rd., Chicago, IL 60660. Interment Rosemont Park Cemetery. I remember watching her walk to the alderman's office with her granny cart and offering to bring us donuts from the alderman when we were working in the synagogue's garden. No matter what we said, she would always bring us some on her return! I miss her so much!

As a director at Uptown Head Start, I remember looking forward to the days when Goldie would come in to read and be with our children. She gave all of us her sense of connection, kindness and humor and she shared her gifts feely. V'Sholom.I share in your loss and celebration.

Goldie was a joy and gift to everyone who knew her. I treasure every memory I have of Goldie while I was a neighor of hers on Sheridan Road. She was among the most empathetic and open people I have ever known. This world needs more Goldies--vivacious, loving, kind!
