Martinez, Gilbert "Gil"

The Martinez family invites friends and family to celebrate the life of Gilbert, "Gil," 77, who left us on December 5, 2020 in Chicago, IL. A dutiful son, beloved brother, loving uncle and loyal friend, Gil was predeceased by his mother, Josephine, father, John, and brother, Bernard (Anna), and has since been followed by his sister, Josephine. He is survived by his siblings, Chris (Dan), Tom (C.P.D.) (Sue), Martha (Jack), Martin (Karen) and Elizabeth (Jeff). Gil was a decorated veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Army 101st Airborne Division. He was a retired officer of the C.P.D. Join us in remembering Gil. I served with Gil on the Chgo Police Dept., the Dept. Of Aviation Security, and the US Army (11thACR). A beautiful brother! Miss you Gil.
