It was a sad day when we learned of Gil's passing. Our hearts go out to Maggie and the family. To say Gil and Maggie were a couple was an understatement. They were joined at the hip. What a couple! To talk about Gil we have to talk about both of them.

We first met them at a meeting at our daughter's sorority at Purdue. It was instant attraction, what a great couple. We are grateful for their friendship. There is no doubt that we had more fun than our daughters did at Purdue. Our friendship grew during the ensuing years. Gil loved to fish and we caught more than our share of fish in Maine and Florida. When we visited Gil and Maggie we noticed a picture of Gil, Eddy John and a huge stripper (oops striper).

Our friends took to them immediately; we all shared great times in Maine, Florida and the Chicago weddings. They are also saddened by Gil's passing. In spite of this time of grieving we can't help but look back and smile at the “old times”. We feel that when our time comes Gil will meet us with a fishing pole, a phone and a great lead on a piece of property up there.
