Gertrude L. Cerkan, 99, of Chicago passed away peacefully on February 15, 2023. She was the loving wife of the late Andrew E. Cerkan. She is survived by her loving children Paul and Judith.
Visitation, Thursday, from 4 to 8 p.m., funeral prayers, Friday, 9 a.m. at Kolbus-John V. May Funeral Home to St. Monica Church, Mass 10 a.m. Private interment at Camp Butler National Cemetery Springfield, IL. For information 773-774-3232 or www.kolbusmayfh.com

Trudie was a sweet lady and dear friend. She was always a joy to be around and spoke with pride of Paul and Judy. We are sorry we will have to miss her service due to the weather. Sending prayers.

Trudy was one of my mother's closest friends. She (along with Paul and Judy) were wonderful neighbors to grow up next to. She is ingrained in my memories of childhood and the neighborhood. She was a remarkable woman. I'm sorry not to be able to make it to the service, but my heart and condolences go out to Judy and Paul.
