Beloved wife of Warner Smith; Loving mother of Katharine Smith and Gregory Smith; Adored grandma of Sara and Grace Setaro; Cherished daughter of the late Edward Machota and the late Rose (nee Piniarski) and step-daughter of Harold Brickman; Dear sister of the late Richard (Lydia) Machota and Scott (Erica) Brickman; cherished sister-in-law of Sandra and Larry Schmidt; beloved aunt and cousin of many. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Visitation, Friday, July 6, 2012, 3:00PM to 9:00PM at the DAMAR-KAMINSKI FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORIUM, 7861 S. 88th Avenue, Justice, Illinois. Smitty, Kathy and Greg - I'm so sorry for your loss. While I was fortunate to have worked with many special people at Loyola, Gerry was the first to ever take care of me as only a "second mother" could. The eulogy today was spot on and how I will always remember her.
