Geraldine Miller Obituary

Pawtucket – Geraldine (Williams) Miller, 86, of Smithfield Avenue died Wednesday, November 2 at the Linn Health Care Center, East Providence. She was the wife of the late Jesse Miller.

Born in Pawtucket, a daughter of the late Percy and Olive (Barker) Williams, she had lived in Pawtucket for most of her life.

Mrs. Miller was a teacher at Jenks Junior High School, Pawtucket and the Pawtucket Christian Day School before retiring in 1958. She had also taught in North Carolina and had done some substitute teaching.

She was a 1941 graduate of Pembroke College, now Brown University.

A member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Pawtucket, she was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the ECW of the Church. She was a lay reader for the Episcopal Diocese of Rhode Island.

She was an associate of the Sisters of the Holy Nativity.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Penelope M. Fisher of Pawtucket and Glenis O. Downie of East Greenwich; 2 grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late May Goodreau.

A Service of Remembrance & Thanksgiving will be held SUNDAY, November 20 at 2 P.M. in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 50 Park Place, Pawtucket. Burial will be private.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Calling Hours are respectfully omitted.
