Geraldine Baker Obituary

Baker, Geraldine Dorothy (nee Piontek), age 85, of Lockport for three years, formerly of Joliet and Chicago, passed away on October 2, 2007. Geraldine is survived by her loving family, her son, William "Bill" (Lori) Baker of Lockport; grandson, Ryan Baker; nephew, Frank Piontek; and a great-nephew, Edward Piontek. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sigmunt Baker, parents, Frank and Anastasia Piontek; brothers, Edward, Harry and Arthur Piontek; and sister, Margaret Andres. Bernice worked for the Merchandise Mart in Chicago for 13 years as a Manager in the Accounting Department. A member of Grace Baptist Church in Lockport. She enjoyed bowling and the sewing club. Family will receive friends Friday, October 5, 2007, from 4 to 8 p.m., at Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton St., Lockport, IL 60441. Funeral service Saturday, October 6, 2007, at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Calumet City.
