I was saddened to hear of Gerry's passing. I was fortunate to have known Gerry as a teammate and friend. He excelled in football due to his focus, hard work and ability. I could always count on Gerry to make a difficult catch and give 100% effort on every play. Everyone noticed his achievements, earning Gerry "All-City" wide receiver.
What made Gerry special was his unselfishness and concern that his teammates get recognition.
I will always remember Gerry giving a tug on his face guard, to notify me that he would be open for a quick pass and possible touchdown. He was the best!
My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Gerry was a very nice man. I always remember when he would come with David to our baseball practices and games. A lot of great memories. I even rode the bus with Gerry one time on his downtown route. Gerry we will miss you.God Bless you and your family. The Reinhart Family
