Gerald Falco Obituary

Falco, Gerald John age 71, born in Chicago, IL, on July 30 1934, to the late John and Dorothy (nee Cardinal) Falco, died peacefully at home on August 17, 2005, surrounded by his family. In 1953, Gerald married Sue Markle, they resided on the Southside of Chicago and also lived in Wauconda, a lake front home that Gerald had built that served as a year round vacation for his family. Gerald and Sue celebrated their 50 wedding anniversary in 2003 with there family at Disney World. His greatest joy was spending time with his family, Mitch (Tammy), Andrew (Cathy) and Nicole (Bill) Borshell, whether it was a party in their beautiful back yard or a family vacation, as long as they were all together. He will be truly missed by his grandchildren, Brad, Tony, Andrea, Samantha and Carly. He enjoyed attending there sporting events and school doings. He is survived by his brothers, Joe and John and was preceded in death by his brother, Tony and his sister, Rosie Smithka. He was a beloved uncle and friend to many and was deeply loved and will be missed by all. He enjoyed his job as an heavy equipment operating engineer for Local 150. After his retirement, Gerald enjoyed road trips with his wife, brothers and sisters-in-law, Dave & Audrey and Jay & Dee Markle. Service Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at Zimmerman & Sandeman Funeral Home, 5200 W. 95th St. Interment Mt. Vernon Memorial Estates. Visitation Friday, 3 to 9 p.m. Info: 708-424-0340
