Wimmer Jr., George J. age 86, dearly beloved husband of the late Inez, loving father of Georgiann Donatille, the late Lila Lee (the late Aubrey) Powell and the late Orie Buckland, dear grandpa of 13, great grandpa of 17 and great-great grandpa of seven, cherished brother of Frances (Pete) Fulara, Louis Wimmer, Lillian (Pat) McCarty and the late Marge Robbins, fond uncle and great uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral Saturday, 9:15 a.m. from the Belmont Funeral Home, 7120 W. Belmont Ave., to St. Celestine Church, Mass 10 a.m. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery. My favorite memory of George is his hand-made Christmas village around the bottom their tree.
I still have a picture of it.
George will be missed at all gatherings, but more so at the family Christmas poker games!
