I am very sad to hear about Uncle George. I just found out today and will keep him in my heart. Mike and him shared a lot of great stories, not only about the neighborhood (we live in Garfield Ridge) but also personally. He will be missed.

On behalf of the Garfield Ridge Satellite Senior Center, I would to express our great condolences for the loss of George. This truly is a loss. Here at the senior center we were saddened and shocked by his death and we are missing him already. He was a wonderful person.
George was a fine man and so full of life every day. He was one of the kindest, most generous people here at the center. He was the glue of a group of men here. They would come in and asked "Is George here?" and "Have you seen George?" They would tell me, "I'm here because George said he'd be here today."
He cared for everyone. He never once walked into this center without saying, "Hello," and never left with making sure to say "Goodbye."
He often talked of his love for his family. He was very proud of his children and grandchildren.
Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. May your memories of George comfort you in this time and make him live on forever.
